Article 1.         Membership

                        Section I                      All members must sign attendance sheet at all meetings.

 

Section II                     A member in good standing, is a member who shall be current in payment of dues.

 

Section III                    Dues will become due on January 1st of each calendar year. If a member does not pay his dues and said member is in arrears for a period of three months, he shall be considered not in good standing.  On April 1st the Financial Secretary shall assign a late fee of $5.00 and give said member notice of non-payment of dues.  If the member does not bring his dues and late fee current within three months of the April 1st notice he shall be dropped from the membership rolls on July 1st. Article 2.         Board of Directors

                        Section I                      Duties

A.     President – The President shall be Chairman of the Board of Directors, and run all meetings. He shall appoint all committees to be made up of members in good standing.

B.     Vice President – The Vice President shall assist the President and run all meetings in the absence of the President.

C.     Recording Secretary – The Recording Secretary shall be responsible for the minutes of all meetings and all records.

D.     Corresponding Secretary – The Corresponding Secretary shall be responsible for all mailings and correspondence.

E.      Financial Secretary – The Financial Secretary shall be responsible for all financial reports and shall collect all dues, fines and assessments.

F.      Treasurer – The Treasurer shall pay all bills and make a full monthly financial report. He shall make no disbursements without sanction of the Board of Directors for payment of regular or standing bills. All checks are to be signed by both by the Treasurer and the President.

G.     Trustees – The Trustees shall be responsible for the investigation of all applicants for membership, and shall submit a report to the membership on same. At each meeting, they shall require the Financial Secretary to furnish a list of names of members who are delinquent. The Trustees shall make recommendations to the membership on all activities pertinent to the Club. Special meetings of the Directors shall be called by the President. (8/10)

 

Article 3.          Funds

                        Section I                      The funds of the Club are for the legitimate expenses required in its conductance and maintenance of same. Funds may be used to support, upon approval of a majority of members present and in good standing for, but not limited to, Club sponsored events, Club paraphernalia, etc. (8/10)

 

Article 4.          Nominations

                        Section I                      No member shall be a candidate for more than one office. If nominated for more than one office, he shall immediately declare for which office he will be a candidate. (8/10)

 

Article 5.          By-Laws

                        Section I                      These By-Laws shall become effective upon a majority vote of the membership in good standing, present and voting.

 

                       

                        Section II                     These By-Laws may be amended or changed by any such proposal being submitted in writing and read at two consecutive regular meetings of the Club. After the second reading, such proposal will be decided by a majority vote of the members in good standing, present and voting.

 

                        Section III                    To repeal any By-Law, a waiting period of one calendar year from the date of the By-Law’s enactment must be observed. (4/12/76)

 

Article 6.          Dues

                        Section I                      There shall be dues in the amount of $35.00 per year due January 1st of each year.  Members age 70 or above by January 1st shall pay dues of $17.50 per year due January 1st of each year. (8/10)

                       

                        Section II                     Dues shall not be changed, except by a majority vote of the members present and in good standing. Any motion to change the dues shall first be submitted in writing and read at two consecutive meetings of the Club. After the second reading, such proposal shall be voted upon by the members in good standing and present at said meeting. Approval of such proposal shall be recorded in Section I on this Article.                         Section III                    Any member not in good standing, or has made it be known to any member of the Board of Directors that he/she has resigned from the Club will no longer be a member, and shall forfeit all rights to participate in the Club’s Chit Contest or be eligible for any awards related to this contest or any other Club sponsored contest or event.                         Section IV                    All Board Members including Trustees, will be required to attend six board meetings annually. Failure to meet this requirement will be subject to review by the Board of Directors. (12/75)
